About
K'in is an international collective of musicians, producers, and arrangers united by a shared belief in the power of music to bring people together. Drawing inspiration from folk traditions, classical composition, and contemporary music, the collective creates work that explores themes of consciousness, spirituality, community, and the values that connect people across cultures and beliefs.
Our process began with a series of strategic workshops and discussions to uncover the collective's purpose, values, and long-term ambitions.
Our work for KIN included brand discovery workshops, brand strategy development, visual identity design, logo design, custom illustration assets, social media applications, and a comprehensive brand toolkit to support the collective's ongoing growth and creative output.
To support the visual identity, we developed a series of custom illustrations inspired by Mayan birds. Known for their migration patterns, songs, and communal behaviour, birds became a fitting symbol for the collective's mission of bringing diverse voices together through music. These graphic elements provide a flexible visual language that can be used across album artwork, social media, promotional materials, and digital platforms.

k'in – /kʼin/ Mayan: sun, sunlight.
kin – /kɪn/ English: one's family, relatives, or those connected by common bonds.
The resulting brand identity was designed to reflect both the spiritual and human aspects of K'in's work. Drawing from the dual meaning behind the name, the brand celebrates ideas of family, kinship, and belonging while also referencing the Mayan word K'in, meaning "sun" or "sunlight", a symbol of illumination, growth, and collective energy.
